RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract Amendment Agreement #77-217-1, with Healthrisk Resource Group, Inc., a corporation, effective January 1, 2020, to amend Contract #77-217, to increase the payment limit by $300,000, from $300,000 to a new payment limit of $600,000, with no change in the original term of March 1, 2019 through February 28, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This amendment is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) Enterprise Fund II. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On March 12, 2019, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #77-217 with Healthrisk Resource Group, Inc., for the provision of claims processing and negotiation services for CCHP members, for the period from March 1, 2019 through February 28, 2021.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #77-217-1 will allow the Contractor to provide additional claims processing and negotiation services for CCHP members through February 28, 2021.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, Contactor will not be able to provide additional claims processing and negotiation services.
