RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE Appropriations and Revenue Adjustment No.005018 authorizing new revenue from the California Department of Education in the amount of $121,732 (Amendment #1) in the Employment and Human Services Department, Community Services Bureau (0589), for the General Child Care & Dev Programs.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This action is to adjust estimated revenues and appropriated expenditures based on additional funding approved by the California Department of Education.  

BACKGROUND:

This board order is to approve the estimated revenues and appropriated expenditures based on additional funding approved by the California Department of Education.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Appropriations and estimated revenues will not be properly reflected in the FY19/20 budget.


CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:

The Employment and Human Services Department Community Services Bureau supports three of Contra Costa County’s community outcomes - Outcome 1: “Children Ready for and Succeeding in School,” Outcome 3: “Families that are Economically Self-sufficient,” and, Outcome 4: “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing.” These outcomes are achieved by offering comprehensive services,  
including high quality early childhood education, nutrition, and health services to low-income children throughout Contra Costa County.
