RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT the report from Employment and Human Services Department on Children and Family Services funding and prevention services.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

The Family and Human Services Committee (F&HS) Chair requested that the Employment and Human Services Department make a presentation to the F&HS on Title IV-E claiming and funding for youth at risk of entering the foster care system and opportunities for leveraging these resources with other funding sources.

The F&HS reviewed and accepted the Children and Family Services Funding and Prevention Services Report (attached) at its October 30, 2017 meeting.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The Board will not receive the Children and Family Services Funding and Prevention Services Report provided by the Employment and Human Services Department.
