RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #76-602 with Elizabeth M. Berryman M.D., an individual, in an amount not to exceed $225,000, to provide primary physician patient care at the County’s Adult and Juvenile Detention facilities for the period December 1, 2017 through November 30, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:

Under Contract #76-602, the contractor will provide primary physician patient care for patients at the County’s adult and juvenile detention facilities including clinical coverage, consultation, training, medical and/or surgical procedures, and on-call coverage for the period from December 1, 2017 through November 30, 2018.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, patients requiring primary physician patient care at County’s adult and juvenile detention facilities will not have access to the contractor’s services.
