RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #74-555 with Pro Transport-1, LLC, a limited liability company, in an amount not to exceed $300,000, to provide non-emergency ambulatory transportation services for mental health consumers and conserved patients for mandatory court hearings, county appointments and residential facilities for the period from January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment.

BACKGROUND:

The contractor provides non-emergency ambulatory transportation services for mental health consumers and conserved patients placed by the County in California state hospitals for court appointments, mandatory county appointments and permanent residential placement, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, including all holidays.
