RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT the 2017 annual report of the Family and Human Services Committee that includes continuing twenty referrals to the 2018 Committee, as recommended by the Family and Human Services Committee.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact. This is an informational report.

BACKGROUND:

On June 18, 2002, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 2002/377 and on December 11, 2017 the Board adopted Resolution Nos. 2011/497 and 2011/498, which require that each regular and ongoing board, commission, or committee shall annually report to the Board of Supervisors on its activities, accomplishments, membership attendance, required training/certification (if any), and proposed work plan or objectives for the following year.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

This report fulfills this requirement for the Family and Human Services Committee. On November 13, 2017 the Family and Human Services Committee accepted the attached staff report regarding the 2017 referrals the Committee received reports on and/or made recommendations to the Board of Supervisors. Additionally, the Committee approved continuing twenty referrals to the 2018 Family and Human Services Committee as specified in the attached staff report.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The Board will not receive the annual report from the Family and Human Services Committee.
