RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Director of Human Resources, or designee, to execute a contract, including modified indemnification language, with Vision Service Plan (VSP), for a voluntary vision plan for employees and their dependents. This contract will be in effect for 24 months beginning January 1, 2017 and ending December 31, 2018.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No County match. Enrollment in this plan is voluntary. The cost of this benefit is employee paid.
BACKGROUND:
On October 18, 2016 The Board of Supervisors adopted a series of Resolutions regarding Side Letters between Contra Costa County and various unions to offer a Voluntary Vision Plan. This contract will allow Vision Service Plan (VSP) to provide these benefits.
