The Committee interviewed Jim Cartan (Walnut Creek) and Andrew Sutherland (Martinez) and directed staff to forward the Committee's recommendations to appoint Jim Cartan to the Environmental Organization seat and Andrew Sutherland to the At Large #2 seat on the Integrated Pest Management Advisory Committee.
Candidate James Donnelly (Danville) did not appear for the interview. The Committee directed Health Services staff to recruit to fill the remaining At Large #1 seat vacancy and reschedule interviews with the 2016 IOC. |

The Committee interviewed six candidates: Elizabeth Brunckhorst, Concord; Scott Cashen, Walnut Creek; Rhonda Gehlke, incumbent, Oakley; Shaun Horne, El Cerrito; Kathleen Jennings, incumbent, Concord; and Caitlyn Obolsky, Hercules, to fill two vacancies. The Committee directed staff to forward to the Board the Committee's recommendations to reappoint Rhonda Gehlke to the At Large #1 seat and Kathleen Jennings to the At Large #2 seat on the Fish & Wildlife Committee. The Committee also directed staff to forward the candidate applications to the Supervisors' offices for consideration for other committee vacancies. The Committee suggested that Fish & Wildlife Committee staff return in 2016 with a proposal to expand regular membership on the committee from 9 to 11 seats.

The Committee approved the draft year-end report with one change: #9 Social Media Policy should be kept on referral to the 2016 Committee to allow for the follow-up report from the Office of Communications & Media Director on administration of the County’s Social Media Policy. The Committee directed staff to forward the modified report to the Board for informational purposes. |
