RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #27-865-2 with Walnut Creek Surgical Associates, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $350,000, to provide general surgery services for Contra Costa Health Plan members for the period from February 1, 2016 through January 31, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% Contra Costa Health Plan Enterprise Fund II. (No Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

The Health Plan has an obligation to provide certain specialized professional health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County. In July 2014, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #27-865-1 with Walnut Creek Surgical Associates, Inc. for the period from February 1, 2014 through January 31, 2016, to provide general surgery services, for Contra Costa Health Plan members.
