RECOMMENDATION(S):

RE-APPOINT the following individuals to the Contra Costa Resource Conservation District Board of Directors:  
  

Director No. 3: Dwight Meadows, 76 Bottlebrush Court, Oakley. Term Expiration: 11/30/2016  

Director No. 1: Thomas Brumleve, 1512 North Gate Road, Walnut Creek. Term Expiration: 11/30/2016

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact to the County from this action.

BACKGROUND:

The Contra Costa Resource Conservation District (CCRCD) is a non-regulatory agency in Contra Costa County whose mission is to partner with land managers and community members to implement voluntary and cooperative conservation programs that promote the sustainable and productive use of natural resources.  
  
The CCRCD is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the County Board of Supervisors and regulated under Division 9 of the California Public Resources Code.  
  
The Internal Operations Committee considered the nominees at the December 10, 2012 regular meeting.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If these appointments are not made, the Contra Costa Resource Conservation District may experience difficulties in achieving a quorum for their meetings.

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:

None.
