RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff-Coroner, or designee, to execute a software license and support agreement between the County and MCM Technology, LLC., for $99,919, for the period of December 11, 2012 through June 30, 2013, for an asset management and software inventory system.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$99,919. Funding will come from grant reimbursements of $84,919 ($63,689 - 2010 Interoperable Emergency Communications Grant Program and $21,230 - 2010 Urban Area Security Initiative grant), and $15,000 county match (General Fund).
BACKGROUND:
Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff would like to procure a regional asset management application which would support interoperability with colaboration between agencies managing communications assets ranging from Regional System ID's, Subscriber Unit ID's and Trunking Talkgroup ID's. This asset management system can become the foundational application to share radio information with P25 Digital Trunk Radio systems throughout the Bay Area. Currently other Bay Area agencies are using this software to manage their subscriber asset ID's for System ID, Unit ID and Talkgroup ID.
