RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Traffic Resolution No. 2012/4371 declaring a Stop Intersection on Shore Road (Road No. 5185H) at Lake View Drive (Road No. 5185Y), Bay Point area.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

Based on the recommendations of the County Public Works Department's Transportation Engineering Division, the intersection is declared to be two-way stop controlled to enhance the safety of school children, to enhance the orderly flow of traffic, and to enable law enforcement to enforce the traffic regulation.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Unable to use local authorities powers to enforce the California Vehicle Code.
