RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Traffic Resolution No. 2012/4370 to prohibit parking at all times on the north side of Park Avenue (Road No. 1161A), beginning at a point 3000 feet east of the east curb line of McBryde Avenue (Road No. 1065AT) and extending easterly a distance of 450 feet, as recommended by the Public Works Director, Richmond area.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

The proposed parking restriction on one side of a portion of the roadway will allow residents, park users, utility and emergency vehicles to access the neighborhood and adjacent Wildcat Canyon Regional Park.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Unable to use the local authorities' power to enforce the California Vehicle Code and could result in delays to emergency vehicles seeking access to the neighborhood during emergency events.

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
