RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #23–532 with Asante Alliance, LLC, limited liability corporation, in an amount not to exceed $300,000 to provide consultation and technical assistance with regard to support of the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) Project for the Health Service Department, for the period from November 1, 2012 through October 31, 2013.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by Medicare & Medicaid Electronic Health Records Incentive Program of the American Recovery & Reimbursement Act and the Delivery System Reform and Incentive Pool funding.

BACKGROUND:

Contra Costa Health Services has recently implemented the Epic EHR throughout Health Services. Under Contract #23-528, Contractor will provide professional consultation and technical assistance to the Department with regard to the EHR project, including, but not limited to project management, implementation, integration training, information security and network management support, through October 31, 2013.
