RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT the Treasurer’s Quarterly Investment Report as of September 30, 2011, as recommended by the Treasurer-Tax Collector.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.

BACKGROUND:

Government Code Section 53646 requires the County Treasurer to prepare quarterly reports to the Board of Supervisors describing County investments including type, cost, par value, and market value. Attached please find the report covering the period July 1, 2011 through September 30, 2011.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office will not be in compliance with Government Code Section 53646.
