RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21020 to add one (1) Election Services Specialist (EBVA) (represented) position at salary level 3R5 1269 ($3,753-$4,562) and one (1) Clerk Experience level (JWXB) (represented) position at salary level 3RH 0750 ($2,682-$3,327); cancel one (1) vacant Clerk Specialist level (JWXD) (represented) position # 5819 and one (1) vacant Microfilm Technician II-Project (9XV1) (represented) position #5833 in the Clerk-Recorder-Elections Department.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There will be an annual salary and benefit savings of $4,056 which includes an annual pension savings of $2,757.

BACKGROUND:

This action is part of the department's goal of maximizing operations and public service, we have identified two recently vacated positions that could be better utilized in other areas of the department. These personnel actions facilitate that move and will accurately reflect the duties assigned to each position.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved, the department will not achieve annual salary and benefit savings of $4,056 and positions will not be classified to maximize operations.
