ACCEPT oral report to provide an update on proposal to provide fire and EMS services to the City of Pinole. (Daryl Louder, Fire Chief)

BACKGROUND:
On September 15, 2011, the District received a request for proposal (RFP) to provide fire and EMS services to the City of Pinole. The RFP outlined the scope of work and service levels to be provided. On October 12, 2011, the District submitted a proposal based on a contract for services as opposed to a merger or Joint Powers Authority. On November 3rd, representatives met with the City of Pinole to discuss the proposal the District had submitted. The City staff will evaluate all of the proposals and then make a recommendation to the elected officials.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
No impact.
