RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #27-282-1 with Antioch Magnetic Imaging (dba Antioch Medical Imaging), a partnership, in an amount not to exceed $800,000, to provide professional diagnostic imaging services for the Contra Costa Health Plan for the period from November 1, 2011 through October 31, 2013.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan (Health Plan) member premiums. Costs depend upon utilization. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

The Health Plan has an obligation to provide certain specialized professional health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County. Under Contract #27-282-1, the Contractor will provide professional diagnostic imaging services through October 31, 2013.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized professional health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
