RECOMMENDATION(S):
ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21016 to add one (1) Clerk-Recorder Services Technician (EAVA) (represented) position at salary level 3R5 1135 ($3,287-$3,995) and cancel one (1) vacant Office Manager (JJHC) (represented) position #10238 in the Clerk-Recorder-Elections Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
By eliminating this mid-management position and replacing it with a front-line staff position, there will be an annual salary and benefit savings of $24,634 which includes an annual pension savings of $8,894.
BACKGROUND:
As part of this department's SB676 reorganization process, we strive to identify opportunities to streamline operations and maximize public service. This personnel action continues with that process, by providing salary and benefits savings as well as a reduction of mid-management positions.
