FISCAL IMPACT:

BACKGROUND:

The Health Services Department is requesting the addition of these positions in order to staff a Public Health Mobile Clinic. Recently, the Public Health Division was awarded a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services for the purchase of a Mobile Health Clinic that would provide health care services to school aged low income children within Contra Costa County. The addition of this of these positions to staff the mobile clinic will allow the the Public Health Division to expand its School Based Health Care Services and provide increased access to health care services for additional school sites within the County.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved, the Department will be unable to staff the Mobile Medical Clinic which in turn would severly limit access to health care services for low income school aged children within Contra Costa County.

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:

If this action is not approved, the Department will be unable to staff the Mobile Medical Clinic which in turn would severly limit access to health care services for low income school aged children within Contra Costa County.
