RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designnee, to execute a contract with Metropolitan Van and Storage, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $350,000 to provide archival records storage and office furniture and equipment storage for the period February 1, 2010 through January 31, 2011.

FISCAL IMPACT:

$350,000: Administrative Overhead (20% County; 40% State; 40% Federal)

BACKGROUND:

Metropolitan Van and Storage, Inc., has been providing archival records storage and furniture storage services to the Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD) for a number of years. Contractor maintains a clean, safe, and secure facility, and they are very responsive to EHSD needs.
