RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT the resignation of Marcia Lessley, DECLARE a vacancy in the Bay Point Municipal Advisory Council Seat 2 on the Los Medanos Health Advisory Committee for a term ending December 31, 2024, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.

BACKGROUND:

The Los Medanos Health Advisory Committee was established by the Board of Supervisors in 2018 as part of a plan to dissolve the Los Medanos Community Healthcare District. The Committee has been charged with developing an area health plan to determine specific health needs of the community, identifying priorities to address those needs, and facilitating a request for proposals process to make funding recommendations for health programs in the community to the Board of Supervisors. The Committee includes representatives from the local community including two seats for Bay Point Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) representatives. Marcia Lessley has resigned from the Bay Point MAC Seat 2.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The seat will remain vacant and a new appointment would not be able to be made.
