RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the County Contract #77-416, with M. Elder, D.D.S., A Professional Corporation, in an amount not to exceed $300,000, to provide oral and maxillofacial surgery services to Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members and County recipients, for the period from December 1, 2021 through November 30, 2024.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract will result in contractual service expenditures of up to $300,000 over a 3-year period and will be funded 100% by CCHP Enterprise Fund II revenues.

BACKGROUND:

CCHP has an obligation to provide certain specialized health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County. This new contractor will be part of the CCHP Provider Network and will provide oral and maxillofacial surgery services to CCHP members and County recipients.

Under Contract #77-416, the contractor will provide oral and maxillofacial surgery services to CCHP members and County recipients for the period December 1, 2021 through November 30, 2024.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized health care services for CCHP members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
