RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT resignation of Wanda Session as Alternate to Chris Farnitano, M.D., on the Contra Costa First 5 Children & Families Commission.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.

BACKGROUND:

Ordinance No. 99-15 (County Children and Families First Commission – Proposition 10) established Contra Costa’s Commission to complement Proposition 10, adopted on November 3, 1998.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Section 26-14.008 describes the process for Board appointment of alternate commissioners to include appointing the nominee proposed by County Health Officer as the alternate for the County Health Officer.

Wanda Session, the current alternate to the County Health Officer, is retiring from County service on November 15, 2018. The seat will remain vacant until such time that the Health Officer identifies a candidate to fill the vacancy
