RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #27-282-4 with Antioch Magnetic Imaging, A California Limited Partnership, in an amount not to exceed $2,500,000, to provide diagnostic imaging services for Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members for the period from November 1, 2017 through October 31, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan Enterprise Fund II.

BACKGROUND:

The Contra Costa Health Plan has an obligation to provide certain specialized health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County.

On October 6, 2015, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27-282-3 with Antioch Magnetic Imaging, A California Limited Partnership, for the provision of diagnostic imaging services for Contra Costa Health Plan members, for the period from November 1, 2015 through October 31, 2017.

Approval of Contract #27-282-4 will allow the contractor to continue providing diagnostic imaging services for Contra Costa Health Plan members through October 31, 2019.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, Contra Costa Health Plan members will not receive the benefits of diagnostic imaging services from the contractor.
