RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #25-085-4 with Bay Area Community Services, Inc., a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $318,751 to operate COVID-19 housing in Richmond for homeless individuals in Contra Costa County, for the period from October 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This contract will result in contractual service expenditures of up to $318,751 and will be funded by 100% Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
Under this contract, the contractor will operate COVID-19 isolation and non-isolation housing for homeless individuals at the SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western at 915 W. Cutting Blvd. in Richmond. The contractor will provide staffing twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week which includes, but is not limited to, the following services: coordinate admissions and exits, coordinate meal services, provide onsite wellness checks and ensure individuals have their basic needs met with clothes, food, and hygiene supplies.
