RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Director of Human Resources, or designee, to execute a contract with Municipal Resource Group, LLC, in an amount not to exceed $99,000 to conduct workplace investigation complaints of discrimination, harassment or other workplace misconduct for the period of September 1, 2018 through August 31, 2021.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Costs funded through charges to the operating departments that use the investigative services.
BACKGROUND:
From time to time, it is necessary for the County to engage a licensed private investigator to perform impartial fact-finding services when faced with complaints of discrimination, harassment or workplace misconduct by employees. Due to the sensitive nature of these types of claims, using an external investigator greatly enhances the County's ability to respond and investigate in an expeditious and impartial manner.
