RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #77-118 with Lincare, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $435,000, to provide durable medical equipment and medical supply services for Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members, for the period from October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan Enterprise Fund II.

BACKGROUND:

The Health Plan has an obligation to provide certain specialized health care services for its members under the terms of their individual and group health plan membership contracts with the County.

Under Contract #77-118, the contractor will provide durable medical equipment and medical supply services to CCHP members through September 30, 2020.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized health care services for its members under the terms of their individual and group health plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
