RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #74-547 with Bi-Bett, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $1,227,448, to provide substance abuse prevention treatment, and testing services to County residents, for the period from October 15, 2017 through June 30, 2018.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This contract is funded 75% by Federal Medi-Cal, 22% by the Substance Abuse Treatment and Prevention Block Grant, and 3% by Assembly Bill 109.
BACKGROUND:
This contract meets the social needs of the County’s population by providing specialized substance abuse treatment services so that men and women, including women with children, are provided an opportunity to achieve and maintain sobriety and to experience the associated benefits of self-sufficiency, family reunification, cessation of criminal activity and productive engagement in the community.
