RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute an amendment to the purchase order with Proline Window Coverings, LLC to increase the payment limit by $150,000 to a new payment limit of $249,000 for window coverings, curtain replacement and repairs at the the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Health Centers with no change in the term of February 1, 2017 through January 31, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This purchase order will be 100% funded by Hospital Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:

Proline Window Coverings, LLC replaces, repairs, and installs all blinds, shades, and other window coverings at the CCRMC and Health Centers. The state inspector has mandated repairs, changes, and upgrades, which the vendor has done. It is necessary to add money to the purchase order to be able to pay the vendor for all the new and unanticipated work.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this change order is not approved, Proline Window Coverings, LLC will not be paid for the additional services provided to the CCRMC.
