RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Interagency Agreement #28-682-15 with Mt. Diablo Unified School District, to pay the County an amount not to exceed $5,000, for the Tuberculosis (TB) Testing Program for Mt. Diablo Unified School District (MDUSD) employees, for the period from September 26, 2017 through June 30, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Approval of this interagency agreement will result in a total payment to the County in an amount not to exceed $5,000. No County match required.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

BACKGROUND:

In the past, MDUSD employees received vouchers to be used for TB testing at Public Health Clinics. Employees experienced extremely long waits to redeem their vouchers for testing and subsequent reading. In an effort to provide better services, MDUSD, Contra Costa Health Services, Public Health Clinic Services have coordinated services to provide TB testing and reading at one MDUSD facility.

Upon approval of Interagency Agreement #28-682-15, Mt. Diablo Unified School District will pay the County a total of $5,000 to provide TB testing and reading services for MDUSD employees through June 30, 2018.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: (CONT'D)

If this agreement is not approved, the County will not be able to provide TB testing services to the contractor’s employees.
