RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 22165 to add one (1) Administrative Analyst Project (APW1) (represented) position at the salary plan and grade Z25 1277 ($5,0663.94 - $6,1582.31) in the Public Defender's Office.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Upon approval this action has an annual cost of approximately $94,956.06. The cost of this position is covered by funding through Stand Together CoCo (Rapid Response immigration assistance). 50% AB109 Public Safety Realignment funds, 50% Restricted Donation revenue

BACKGROUND:

Per Board approval for Stand together CoCo, the Public Defender Office was granted a position of Administrative Analyst- Project to assist with administration of the project and manage immigration cases.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved, the department will not have adequate staff to manage the new immigration cases, and may adversely impact administrative needs of the project.
