RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #23-531-9 with Nordic Consulting Partners, Inc., a corporation, effective April 1, 2017, to amend Contract #23-531-7 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #23-531-8), to increase the payment limit by $5,196,453, from $3,200,000 to a new payment limit of $8,396,453, with no change in the original term of January 1, 2016 through June 30, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This amendment is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On February 9, 2016 (as corrected on June 21, 2016), the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-531-7 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #23-531-8) with Nordic Consulting Partners, Inc. for the period from January 1, 2016 through June 30, 2018, for the provision of consulting and technical assistance for the Department’s Information Systems Unit in support of ccLink.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #23-531-9 will allow the Contractor to provide additional consulting and technical assistance for the Community Connect Project and Epic System upgrade through June 30, 2018.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, the contractor would not be able provide additional services for the Community Connect and Epic System upgrade projects.
