RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-784-2 with Cardionet, LLC, a limited liability company, effective July 1, 2016, to amend Contract #26-784-1, to increase the payment limit by $40,000, from $95,000 to a new payment limit of $135,000, with no change in the original term of November 1, 2015 through October 31, 2016.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This amendment is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

In December 2015, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #26-784-1 with Cardionet, LLC, for the provision of cardiac monitoring services, for the period from November 1, 2015 through October 31, 2016.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-784-2 will allow the Contractor to provide additional cardiac monitoring services through October 31, 2016.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, the Contractor will not be able to provide the level of cardiac monitoring services required by the County.
