SELECT candidates to recommend to the Board of Supervisors for appointment to the At-Large 1 and the Alternate seats on the Arts and Culture Commission of Contra Costa County from among the following candidates:

Lore Konieczny
Pamela McCauley
Cindy McCann
Y'Anad Burrell

The Committee approved recommending to the Board the reappointment of Y'Anad Burrell to the At-Large 1 Seat and the appointment of Pamela McCauley to the Alternate Seat on the Arts and Culture Commission of Contra Costa County.

Accept the annual update on the Independent Living Skills Program and forward the information to the Board of Supervisors for acceptance.

Accepted the report and directed staff to forward to the Board of Supervisors. Supervisor Andersen asked the department to add any bullet points, if necessary, to the report on specific issues regarding foster care youth that would be supported by Board action.

Consider accepting the report from the Employment and Human Services Department on the Community Services Bureau and Head Start Programs and forward the information to the Board of Supervisors.

Accepted the report and directed staff to forward to the Board of Supervisors. Supervisor Andersen asked the department to follow up with the appropriate staff on any Head Start challenges that could be added to the County's federal platform.
