RECOMMENDATION(S):

1. APPROVE response to Civil Grand Jury Report No. 1510, entitled "Community Courts: Unburdening the Traditional Court System”, and  
  

2. DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to forward the response to the Superior Court immediately following Board action.

On June 8, 2015 the 2014/15 Civil Grand Jury filed the above-referenced report regarding the status of the the Court system in Contra Costa County.  
  
The Report was received, by way of the City of Walnut Creek, in late August by the County Administrator's Office, which prepared the attached response that clearly specifies:

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

In order to comply with statutory requirements, the Board of Supervisors must provide a response to the Superior Court.
