RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the Public Works Director, a purchase order with General Plumbing Supply Co., in an amount not to exceed $170,000, for plumbing parts and equipment, for the period of October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2017, Countywide.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This cost is to be funded through the Public Works Facilities Maintenance Services budget. (100% General Fund)

Public Works Facilities Maintenance Services Division conducted a Bidsync bid soliciting a vendor for plumbing parts and equipment. These parts are typically items used in plumbing repairs and improvements. Posted as Bidsync Bid #“Plumbing Parts”, General Plumbing and Heieck Supply were awarded this commodity. The original request was for two years with three possible one year extensions. This request represents the second and third of these possible extensions.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this Purchase order is not approved, plumbing parts and equipment as supplied by General Plumbing Supply Co. will not proceed.
