RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT the resignation of Rhoda Butler, DECLARE a vacancy in the Member-at-large Seat #3 on the Advisory Council On Aging, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact for this action.

BACKGROUND:

Accept the resignation of Rhoda Butler from the Advisory Council on Aging, Member-at-large Seat #3. Ms. Butler was appointed to the seat July 13, 2021 with a term expiring September 30, 202, yet Ms. Butler has tendered her resignation from the Advisory Council on Aging.   
  






BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
The Advisory Council on Aging provides leadership and advocacy on behalf of older persons and serves as a channel of communication and information on aging issues. In collaboration with the Area Agency on Aging, the Council provides a means for countywide planning, cooperation and coordination to improve and develop services and opportunities for older residents of this County.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The Advisory Council on Aging may not be able to conduct routine business.
