RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #77-011-3 with Bay Area Surgical Specialists Services, LLC, a limited liability company, in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000, to provide ambulatory surgery services to Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members for the period March 1, 2020 through February 28, 2022.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by CCHP Enterprise Fund II. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On March 27, 2018, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #77-011-2 with Bay Area Surgical Specialists Services, LLC, for the provision of ambulatory surgery services to CCHP members, for the period March 1, 2018 through February 29, 2020.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #77-011-3 will allow Contractor to continue providing ambulatory surgery services through February 28, 2022.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialty health care services for CCHP members will not be provided.
