RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT resignation of Dina Osakue, DECLARE a vacancy in Member-at-Large Seat No. 17 on the Advisory Council on Aging, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by the Employment and Human Services Director.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None

BACKGROUND:

The Executive Committee of the Advisory Council on Aging has determined that Ms. Osakue has not met the minimum attendance requirement. Ms. Osakue's appointment would have terminated on September 30, 2016.   
The Advisory Council on Aging provides a means for county-wide planning, cooperation and coordination for individuals and groups interested in improving and developing services and opportunities for the older residents of this county. The Council provides leadership and advocacy on behalf of older persons and serves as a channel of communication and information on aging.


CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The Advisory Council on Aging will be unable to fill this vacancy.
