RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute an contract (Agreement 79131354) with the State of California Office of Systems Integration to pay County an amount not to exceed $361,716 for County provision of a subject matter expert consultant services for the period January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2017.

FISCAL IMPACT:

County to receive reimbursement funding not to exceed $361,716 from the State of California Office of Systems Integration, for travel, wages, and benefits of the SME services provided to State by County.

BACKGROUND:

The Employment and Human Services Department requests authorization to execute a contract with the State of California,Office of Systems Integration, to provide County subject matter expert (SME) services. In consideration for those services provided by the County SME, the State will pay the County for salary and benefits of the SME. The SME will perform analytical and technical services relative to the maintenance of new in-home support services case management, information and pay-rolling systems to the State OSI.  
  
  
  

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

State would be forced to seek SME elsewhere.
