RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #27-795-2 with Cypress Women’s Cancer Treatment Center, A Medical Corporation, a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $150,000, to provide professional Gynecology Oncology services, for the period from January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2015.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan member premiums. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

In January 2012, the County Administrator approved and Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #27-795-1, with Cypress Women’s Cancer Treatment Center, A Medical Corporation, for the period from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2013, for the provision of Gynecology Oncology services.

Approval of Contract #27-795-2 will allow Contractor to continue providing professional Gynecology Oncology services through December 31, 2015.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized professional health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
