RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE, the County Administrator, or designeed, to execute a facilities use agreement with the Acalanes Unified School District, including modified indemnification language, for the use of the Los Lomas High School Theater by the Arts and Culture Commission of Contra Costa County for the Poetry Out Loud competition on February 9, 2013.

FISCAL IMPACT:

100% California Arts Council Grant

BACKGROUND:

The facility will be used for the annual Poetry Out Loud competition, a high school poetry competition sponsored by the Arts and Culture Commission of Contra Costa County.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this Agreement is not ratified, the County will not be able to use the facility.
