RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE Appropriation Adjustment No.5042 authorizing the transfer of appropriations in the amount of $30,853 from the Sheriff's Office (0255) to General Services - Fleet Replacement (0064) for the replacement of vehicle # 2821 outside of the regular replacement cycle due to collision.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This action increases appropriations in General Services - Fleet Replacement (0064) and reduces appropriations in the Office of the Sheriff (0255) by $30,853.

BACKGROUND:

  
The Office of the Sheriff will purchase replacement vehicles through General Services Internal Service Fund. The car being replaced was deemed a total loss after a Sheriff's employee was involved in an accident and the financial burden for replacement is that of the Office of the Sheriff. The cost of repair exceeds the value of the car.
