RECOMMENDATION(S):

1. Specify that the Clerk of the Board is the Filing Officer for the Conflict of Interest Code for the Measure J Traffic Congestion Relief Agency dba TRAFFIX.


2. Approve the Conflict of Interest Code for the Measure J Traffic Congestion Relief Agency dba TRAFFIX as amended.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.

BACKGROUND:

The Measure J Traffic Congestion Relief Agency dba TRAFFIX has amended its Conflict of Interest Code and has submitted the amended Code to the Board for approval pursuant to Government Code sections 87306 and 87306.5. A copy of the Measure J Traffic Congestion Relief Agency dba TRAFFIX’s action approving the Code is also attached. The Code has been amended to clarify that the Clerk of the Board is the Filing Officer and that disclosure statements are public documents, to address filing obligations for new positions, and to revise disclosure categories.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

TRAFFIX will not be in compliance with Government Code sections 87306 and 87306.5.
