RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff-Coroner, or designee, to execute a contract with Praeses LLC, to provide inmate telephone consulting, management, market intelligence, and reconciliation services and pay the County up to 90% of gross revenue generated from the inmate telephone services providers for the period of November 1, 2012 through October 31, 2015.

FISCAL IMPACT:

100% revenue no net County costs.

BACKGROUND:

Praeses, LLC will manage the inmate telephone service, and related services and products, provided to the Sheriff's Office. Praeses LLC, will analyze and reconcile monthly traffic activity, historical traffic activity regarding inmate telephone services and related services and products. Under this contract with Praeses LLC, the County will receive 90.06% of the revenue generated through their reconciliation activities.
