RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #74–058–16 with Seneca Family of Agencies, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $665,000, to provide intensive crisis stabilization services to youth through the Mobile Crisis Response Teams for the period from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. This Contract includes a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2012, in an amount not to exceed $332,500.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 40% by Federal FFP Medi-Cal, 40% by State Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT), 11% by County Mental Health Realignment and 9% by school districts of students receiving services. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing intensive crisis stabilization services to Seriously Emotionally Disturbed (SED) children and adolescents (and their families) in high-risk situations, to reduce the need for psychiatric hospitalization.
