RECOMMENDATION(S):

Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution #20127 to add one Health Services Information Systems Specialist (LBTB) position at salary level ZB5 1541 ($4779 - 6404) in the Health Services Department.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $118,491, including pension costs of $25,443, and will be funded with Contra Costa Health Plan member premiums.

BACKGROUND:

This position will be assigned to the Performance Measurement Unit of the Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) and will play a key role in the implementation of the Epic Electronic Medical Record system in CCHP. Position will be responsible for system maintenance and support for the Epic -Tapestry claims processing system including plan and benefits build and maintenance along with provider contract build and support.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved, the implementation and support of Epic Electronic Medical Records in the Contra Costa Health Plan may be adversely impacted.
