RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 20973 to cancel one (1) Clinical Psychologist (VQTB) position # 8119 (32/40); increase the hours of Mental Health Clinical Specialist (VQSB) position #8699 from 20/40 to 28/40; increase the hours of Mental Health Clinical Specialist (VQSB) position #8761 from 36/40 to 40/40; increase the hours of Mental Health Clinical Specialist (VQSB) position #8763 from 24/40 to 40/40; and increase the hours of Mental Health Clinical Specialist (VQSB) position #13199 from 30/40 to 34/40 in the Health Services Department. (Cost Savings)

FISCAL IMPACT:

Upon approval, this action will result in a annual cost savings of approximately $17,658.

BACKGROUND:

The Clinical Psychologist position was recently vacated due to a retirement. Instead of filling this position, the Department would like to increase of hours of the Mental Health Clinical Specialist positions.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved, the Department will be unable to reorganize the workflow in the unit and realize a cost savings.
