RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE plans for the Bixler Road Bridge over Kellogg Creek Guardrail Repair as recommended by the Public Works Director, Discovery Bay area. (0662-6U4010) (Local Road Funds)

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact to the General Fund. The work will be funded by Local Road funds (100%).

BACKGROUND:

The work site is located on Bixler Road over Kellogg Creek on the south side of State Route 4. The work includes repairing guardrail and adding a concrete barrier on the north side of the bridge on the west and east sides along State Route 4. A Design Exception has been approved by the Public Works Director for the repair.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Negative action will result in the Public Works Department being unable to repair the damage.
